What characterizes a good presentation? How do you make your message targeted and relevant? How do you communicate with confidence and clarity?
Rhetoric is the art of influencing and persuasion - and the key to an effective presentation. This course will give you hands-on tools for presentations, both online and regular, and help you become clearer, more structured and more engaging.
The course will be delivered as a combination of short lectures and presentation exercises in smaller groups.
Content:
- How to prepare for your presentation: The rhetorical workflow.
- Effective openings: How do you make your audience want to listen to your message?
- Structural models to help sequence your content
- Use your voice and body language to become clearer and more confident when you communicate.
- How to avoid “death-by-PowerPoint”
- How to involve and engage your audience

Vibeke Holtskog (www.holtskog.no)
Through her studies and function as a language teacher, Vibeke Holtskog found herself deeply engaged in rhetoric and communication. Since 2009 she has specialized in giving courses, lectures and workshops covering the subjects of communication and rhetoric.
Vibeke became a published author in 2018 with the book “Formidling som funker”. Her next book, “Digital formidling som funker” will be released in August 2021.
